Saudi Real-Estate Market started as one of the projects of the Ministry of Justice to achieve the Kingdom's Vision 2030. began with the vision to build a governmental platform. This project aimed to regulate and provide transparent information regarding the real estate market and allow the beneficiaries to follow up on the changes in the real estate market across the country, cities, and districts. in addition, to digitizing the real-estate trading procedures in the kingdom.
I joined the Ministry of Justice as a product designer 3 years ago as the senior one of 2 designers in a team of over 70 engineers and product managers. I support design across every aspect of our business and lead UX and UI across key parts of all responsive views of the platform. I've grown tremendously in the project time, some key achievements of which I have listed below:
System design includes activities to conceive a set of system elements that answers a specific, intended purpose, using principles and concepts; it includes assessments and decisions to select system elements that compose the system, fit the architecture of the system, and comply with traded-off system requirements.
Before SREM even began, people crowded in huge queues to get serviced by the desk employee, and a lot of paper was swapped between them which cause many problems. then we somehow digitized the process thru governmental apps, till his majesty crowned Prince MBS announce his vision of 2030 to improve the lifestyle of people through such programs including the Saudi Real-Estate Market platform. we worked at this stage on the beta release of this totally new platform in-house and all of these mockups were tested after it was created and had little consideration for the technical and product restriction on the scope of work. I conducted research interviews with our primary users (account managers) and potential known users to uncover any pain points that they were experiencing with the beta release.
